Moss

Terms of Use

Last updated: July 17, 2026

Moss is a sound app for sleep, focus, and relaxation, made by Derivative Media LLC ("Derivative", "we"). By downloading or using Moss, you agree to these terms.

License

Your use of Moss is licensed, not sold, under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the standard EULA). These terms supplement it; where they conflict, the standard EULA controls for App Store matters.

Moss+ subscriptions

Moss+ is an optional auto-renewing subscription that unlocks additional sound textures and features. The price and period are shown in the app before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel anytime in iOS Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

The free tier of Moss remains usable without a subscription.

Fair use

Don't resell, redistribute, or attempt to extract and republish Moss's audio engine or assets. Personal use, including sleeping through the night on repeat, is very much encouraged.

No warranty

Moss is provided as is. We work hard to keep it reliable, but we can't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and it is not a medical device or a treatment for any condition. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Derivative is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the app.

Changes

If these terms change, we will update this page and the date above. Continued use of Moss after a change means you accept the updated terms.
